Smoking In The House Of Commons
EDM number 621 in 2004-05, proposed by Laurence Robertson on 01/02/2005.
That this House rejects the decision of the House of Commons Commission to ban smoking in most areas of the House of Commons; considers that the Commission should not have the right to decide such matters on behalf of all honourable Members; calls for the prevailing concern for the rights of minorities to be extended to smokers; and requires the Commission to work with the Catering Committee to provide equal rights for both smokers and non-smokers in bars and restaurants throughout the Parliament building.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
