A3 Tunnel Hindhead

EDM number 472 in 2004-05, proposed by Mike Hancock on 11/01/2005.

That this House views with alarm the possibility of a further two to three year delay to the plans to improve the A3 at Hindhead; urges the Secretary of State to ensure that the Highways Agency is well aware of the damage to the economy, not only of Portsmouth and South Hampshire, but the rest of the UK as access to a major ferry port is affected while the current situation exists; and urges the Secretary of State to advise the Highways Agency that it must programme the works to start as soon as the Inspector makes his report, at the conclusion of the public inquiry.

This motion has been signed by a total of 6 MPs.
