Save Concorde Group

That this House welcomes the formation of the Save Concorde Group; notes that its membership consists of flight crew and engineering personnel for Concorde, and interested individuals and dedicated enthusiasts, all of whom believe that one Concorde aircraft should be restored to airworthy condition and that 20,000 people have already signed a petition in support of this campaign; further notes that Concorde is a unique symbol of engineering achievement, unparalleled in the history of commercial aviation; and calls on the Government to enter a dialogue with aircraft and engine manufacturers such as Airbus and Rolls Royce as well as British Airways and the Civil Aviation Authority in order to restore a Concorde aircraft to flying condition by 21st January 2007.
