Ulnes Walton Parish Council

That this House congratulates Ulnes Walton Parish Council on receiving the Quality Mark Status; recognises that Ulnes Walton is the first parish council in Lancashire to be awarded Quality Status; notes that parish councils have to meet standards covering electoral mandate, qualifications of the clerk, conduct of council meetings, communication with the electorate, annual reports, accounts and ethical framework of its activities; further notes that council members attended a special ceremony on Thursday 25th November at County Hall where they received the Certificate of Accreditation; and encourages other parish councils to follow the example set by Ulnes Walton Parish Council.
