Agricultural And Industrial Fuel Price Rises
EDM number 101 in 2004-05, proposed by Mike Weir on 23/11/2004.
That this House notes with growing concern the dramatic increases in fuel prices for both the agricultural and fishing industries during recent months, resulting from the instability of the world oil price; further notes the Treasury has neglected its responsibilities to these industries by allowing these biased increases; and calls on the Treasury to examine ways by which relief can be provided to the agricultural and fishing industries, as they are of vital importance to the Scottish economy.
