Recognition Of Over 70 Years In Local Journalism

EDM number 890 in 2003-04, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 23/03/2004.

That this House recognises the contribution made to their local communities by regional newpapers across the UK; acknowledges the longevity of a local journalist in Northern Ireland by the name of W. 'Speedy' Moore who has contributed a column in his local weekly newspaper for over 70 years; believes this to be of outstanding duration, comparing favourably with any other similar weekly journalistic contributions across the United Kingdom; and wishes every success to Mr Moore as he approaches his 92nd birthday.

This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs.
