Closure Of Romford Central Post Office
EDM number 859 in 2003-04, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 17/03/2004.
That this House deeply regrets the decision of Post Office Ltd. to close Romford's main post office with effect from Friday 19th March; acknowledge that this closure will have an immediate negative effect on the people of Romford, who depend on the services provided by the Post Office; expresses its anger that this decision has come without warning; is appalled that no plan is in place for a replacement post office; and urges Post Office Ltd. to rectify this situation as a matter of urgency.
