Commonwealth Day 2004

That this House proudly observes Commonwealth Day on Monday 8th March; recognises the shared heritage between the peoples of all Commonwealth countries; applauds the Commonwealth Secretariat in choosing Building a Commonwealth of Freedom as the theme for Commonwealth Day 2004, with the aim of striving to help people of all nations reach their full potential; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to strengthen and uphold the close ties that continue to bind our family of nations together.
