HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMISSION'S STRATEGY FOR WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY

That this House welcomes the Health and Safety Commission's new document that takes forward and stimulates closer partnership working to make health and safety a corner stone of a civilised approach to protecting people at work by concentrating strategic programmes of activity to achieve the 2010 targets of cutting deaths and major injuries by 10 per cent., reduces work-related ill health by 20 per cent. and slashing days lost due to health and safety failure by 30 per cent.; and looks forward to reading next year's annual report on the progress made.
