Government Concessions To Members-Designate Of The Eu
EDM number 580 in 2003-04, proposed by Keith Vaz on 09/02/2004.
That this House recognises Britain's and particularly the Prime Minister's role as the champion of EU enlargement; notes that Britain together with Ireland are the only two countries in the EU that have not imposed restrictions on the free movement of EU citizens; further notes recent statements that this policy may have changed; and calls on the Home Secretary to clarify this matter so that the process of enlargement of the EU can be seen as a unifying factor rather than a divisive one.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
