National Impotence Day 2004

EDM number 578 in 2003-04, proposed by Tim Yeo on 06/02/2004.

That this House recognises the importance of National Impotence Day and praises the Sexual Dysfunction Association for raising awareness of this significant health problem; notes that an estimated one in 10 males over the age of 21 suffers from impotence at some point in their lives; regrets that a number of sufferers do not currently seek medical help as they may be unaware of the current availability of varied effective treatments, they may not know who to approach for treatment or they may simply be too embarrassed; wholeheartedly supports National Impotence Day on Saturday 14th February; and hopes that through this day and the efforts and actions of the Sexual Dysfunction Association, awareness of this health condition can be improved and that support for, and research into, impotence will be maintained thereafter.

This motion has been signed by a total of 41 MPs.
