That this House laments the BBC's clerical error that left Ricky Gervais without a nomination for this year's BAFTA Awards; praises Gervais for creating and starring in the wonderful sitcom that is The Office; acknowledges the place Gervais holds in the unique tradition of great British comedians; requests that the BBC ensures Gervais receives the recognition his achievements deserve; and urges BAFTA'S TV Committee to accept a late nomination for Gervais in these exceptional circumstances.
