Northern Ireland Hospital Trolley Waits
EDM number 418 in 2003-04, proposed by Iris Robinson on 14/01/2004.
That this House notes with growing concern the unacceptably high numbers of Northern Ireland hospital patients having to wait long periods of time on hospital trolleys in accident and emergency departments for beds on hospital wards; calls on the Government fairly and proportionally to provide funding to the NHS in Northern Ireland which has been underfunded compared to the rest of the United Kingdom; and praises the doctors, nurses, management and administration and clerical staff for their professionalism in the face of such difficult conditions.
