Line 2, leave out from 'violence' to end and insert 'but does not support the recommendation to ban imitation firearms and implement further controls on deactivated weapons because legislation of this nature could create criminals of children who wish to play with toy guns due to the impossibility of defining a replica differently to that of a toy; and recalls that the banning of legal handguns in this country resulted in a 47 per cent. rise in handgun crime.
