Free School Meals
EDM number 367 in 2003-04, proposed by Helen Jones on 07/01/2004.
That this House believes that free school meals can play an important role in improving the diet of children from poorer families; is concerned that the value of a free school meal varies considerably from one local authority to another; and urges the Government to introduce a standard national amount for the free school meal entitlement which is sufficient to provide a two-course lunch and a drink.
