Sales Of Irn-Bru In The House Of Commons

EDM number 334 in 2003-04, proposed by Annabelle Ewing on 18/12/2003.

That this House regrets the decision to discontinue sales of Irn-Bru, Scotland's other national drink, in the Terrace Cafeteria of the House of Commons, in favour of trialling Diet Coke; recognises that the Refreshment Department has to operate according to budget constraints in terms of its purchasing policy; understands that Irn-Bru will be returned to its rightful place if sales of Diet Coke do not exceed the volume at which Irn-Bru was previously selling; and therefore urges all honourable Members and House staff from all parts of the United Kingdom to request this delicious Scottish drink, which is famous for its medicinal and restorative qualities.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
