Liberal Democrat Policy Towards Saddam Hussein

EDM number 315 in 2003-04, proposed by Michael Ancram on 17/12/2003.

That this House is not amazed at the double standards adopted by the Liberal Democrat Party over their expressed views towards the recent capture of Saddam Hussein; notes that if the Liberal Democrat policy had been adopted by the international community, Saddam Hussein would still be in power today; further notes as a consequence that the chronic oppression suffered by the Iraqi people at the hands of Saddam Hussein and his sons would have continued unabated; and urges the Leader of the Liberal Democrat Party to go to Iraq and hear what the Iraqi people think of his policy towards Saddam Hussein.

This motion has been signed by a total of 49 MPs.
