Polish And Spanish Representation At The Igc

That this House congratulates the Polish and Spanish delegations to the recent EU Inter-Governmental Conference for showing fortitude and resolve in the face of unrelenting pressure from the larger member states of the EU; notes that their representatives stood up for their national interests and refused to sign up to a constitution that reneged on the commitments proposed in the Nice Treaty; and hopes that other EU and accession country leaders, particularly the United Kingdom, will show similar resolve in future EU talks which concern the way a future Europe is run.
