Haddock Stocks In The North Sea (No.2)

EDM number 277 in 2003-04, proposed by Andrew George on 11/12/2003.

That this House calls upon Her Majesty's Government to make a statement on the current state of haddock stocks in the North Sea; welcomes the move to decouple the various stocks in mixed fisheries to allow for higher quotas in healthy stocks such as haddock; supports the Scottish Seafood December reception to be held in brussels to promote Scottish haddock; believes that the momentum to devolve competence to a regional dimension should be greatly accelerated; and supports the efforts of UK and Scottish ministers to get the best outcome for the Scottish fishing industry from the European Fisheries Council.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
