Answering Of Parliamentary Questions
EDM number 259 in 2003-04, proposed by John Mann on 10/12/2003.
That this House notes that parliamentary questions which are not answered in the conventional manner due to lack of time are answered by a letter from the Minister which is then placed in the Library; further notes that these answers are not available to the public through the Hansard website; and calls upon the Government to reform this procedure in order that the parliamentary record is complete and open to scrutiny by the public.
This motion has been signed by a total of 38 MPs.
