UK Exploration Drilling

EDM number 1912 in 2003-04, proposed by Alan Meale on 11/11/2004.

That this House is aware of the need for increased exploration drilling of the United Kingdom's continental shelf; recognises the good work so far undertaken by the pilot forum via the Government's Oil and Gas Task Force including measures such as the stewardship of fields, increased collaboration, drill rigs sharing and access to infrastructures codes of practice; believes it vital that long-term stability is encouraged in this sector; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to meet officials of the Amicus Trades Union to discuss its recent excellent publication Offshore UKCS.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
