Closure Of Post Offices In North Manchester
EDM number 1903 in 2003-04, proposed by Graham Stringer on 10/11/2004.
That this House is appalled at the decision of Post Office Ltd to close Ashley Lane, Chain Bar, Collyhurst, Riverdale Rd and St Mary's Red post offices; condemns the abject failure of Post Office Ltd to take into account the views of local people, particularly the elderly and disabled, during the sham consultation exercise, and its total inability to understand the local area; and calls upon the Department of Trade and Industry to investigate fully the incompetence of Post Office Ltd to undertake the Urban Reinvention Programme to North Manchester.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
