London 2012 Lottery

EDM number 1901 in 2003-04, proposed by David Davis on 10/11/2004.

That this House fully supports the London bid for the Olympic Games in 2012; believes that the exceptional nature of the Games is such that in order to support the bid the Exchequer should agree to forgo its 12 pence tax on lottery ticket sales; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to commit to return the estimated ú340 million tax on Olympic Lottery ticket sales to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
