Ban On Cold Calling For Property Maintenance And Improvement

That this House believes that communities and individuals, particularly older citizens, require far greater protection from distraction burglars and bogus and exploitative property repairers, welcomes the Government's current consultation on a range of possible measures to combat these and other activities involving cold calling; notes that these include a ban on doorstep cold calling for the purposes of offering property services; and urges the Government to introduce this specific measure at the earliest opportunity.
