Childline In Nottingham

EDM number 1559 in 2003-04, proposed by Alan Simpson on 20/07/2004.

That this House recognises the strength of Childline's longest standing base in Nottingham and the services it offers; regrets the decision of the national organisation to reduce this to a satellite service in October, making at least 10 staff redundant; is shocked by the presumption that Childline can maintain the quality of its services in Nottingham on little more than skeleton staffing; and calls on Childline nationally to reverse this decision.

This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs, 2 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
