World Junior Archery Championships
EDM number 1544 in 2003-04, proposed by Sue Doughty on 19/07/2004.
That this House notes that the United Kingdom is hosting the World Junior Archery Championships for the first time in its history at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre from 18th to 24th July; congratulates the Grand National Archery Society on securing this event; wishes the British team every success at this competition; hopes they can follow the successes of the senior team at the recent Field Archery World championships in Croatia; recognises that archery is a growing sport with over 1100 clubs in the UK which is inclusive of all ages and abilities; and believes that the hosting of this event will further strengthen the London bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games.
