Joint Committee On Abortion
EDM number 1520 in 2003-04, proposed by Ian Gibson on 15/07/2004.
That this House believes that there have been advances in medical practice and scientific research on the foetus since the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act was passed in 1990; and calls for the establishment of a Joint Committee of both Houses to consider whether such advances warrant a revision of existing legislation governing abortion.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
