Mr Brian Haw, Parliament Square Peace Campaigner

EDM number 1483 in 2003-04, proposed by John McDonnell on 08/07/2004.

That this House condemns the Lords' characterisation of peace campaigner, Mr Brian Haw's placards of children killed or injured by war as litter and waste in their 15th June debate; expresses its concern at the Government's expressed intention to increase police powers in order to remove Mr Haw permanently from Parliament Square; and further reiterates its support for the right of peace campaigners to demonstrate in Parliament Square.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
