Voluntary Coalition At Stormont By September

EDM number 1450 in 2003-04, proposed by David Burnside on 05/07/2004.

That this House notes with concern the absence of devolved government at Stormont; recognises that the refusal of Sinn Fein/IRA to end all terrorist and criminal activities and complete total decommissioning of all guns and explosives is the present veto preventing devolved government; urges the Democratic Unionist, Ulster Unionist, Social Democratic and Labour and Alliance parties to agree a cross-community voluntary coalition executive by September, enabling the failed and unstable all-inclusive executives to be replaced by an agreed voluntary coalition which will allow devolved government to operate for the full four year life of the present assembly.

This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
