That this House notes the very valuable role played by pet collection bins in supplying food for unwanted animals which have been taken in by charitable organisations such as the Cats Protection League; further notes that even one branch of such a charity can collect about Ãº2,000 to Ãº3,000 worth of food from these bins each year, which amounts to considerable aid; deplores deeply the decision by Sainsbury's supermarkets to withdraw such bins from its stores; and calls upon the Board of Sainsbury's to reverse this heartless decision.
