Post Offices In Easington Constituency

EDM number 1357 in 2003-04, proposed by John Cummings on 16/06/2004.

That this House condemns the decision by Post Office Ltd to close post offices in Horden and Seaham in the constituency of Easington; notes that these post offices are located in areas of great social deprivation, high levels of chronic illness, low car ownership and poor public transport; and calls upon the Post Office to withdraw the proposals for closure and lend every support to local post masters and mistresses to improve the viability of these much needed services.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
