Caudwell Charitable Trust

That this House congratulates John Caudwell and The Caudwell Group of companies for their fund-raising activities through the Caudwell Charitable Trust on behalf of severely disabled children; notes that Mr Caudwell recently held a charity ball for some 1,700 guests, one of the largest of such gatherings ever seen in this country, raising well over ú1 million to add to the many millions he has also raised and distributed; and recognises the fact that almost all funds raised by The Caudwell Charitable Trust are distributed directly to those in need with one of the lowest levels of administration costs in the charitable sector.
