China-Uk Cooperation

That this House welcomes the visit of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to the United Kingdom; recognises that 2004 marks the 50th anniversary of trade links between the United Kingdom and the People's Republic of China; looks forward to establishing further links between the two nations; and expresses appreciation to His Excellency the Chinese Ambassador, Mr Zha Peixin, on his visit to Parliament to explore ways in which the UK's wholesale financial services sector may contribute to the progress China is making in developing a modern industrial economy.
