Post Office Closures(2)

EDM number 1224 in 2003-04, proposed by Bob Spink on 19/05/2004.

That this House deeply regrets the trend in post office closures across communities; calls on the Government to review its policies on payment of benefits and pensions and to enable post offices to provide full banking services, as these policies are causing many post office closures; notes that in Castle Point, these recent closures have taken place and three more closures are now being considered and that this is typical of many other communities; and calls on the Government to review its policies to prevent the damaging loss of post offices.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs, 2 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
