Relegation Of Leeds United

EDM number 1143 in 2003-04, proposed by Colin Burgon on 06/05/2004.

That this House is saddened to see Leeds United relegated to the first division; considers that a great city like Leeds should naturally be represented in the premiership; praises the way that Leeds fans have displayed great enthusiasm and determination to support their team in difficult circumstances which contrasts with, given notable exceptions, the approach of several players; hopes that the financial problems facing the club can be overcome; and believes that an organised approach, avoiding the dangers of boom and bust and giving greater supporter involvement, will soon help Leeds regain its rightful premiership status.

This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
