Public Inquiry Into Potters Bar Rail Crash

EDM number 1083 in 2003-04, proposed by James Clappison on 29/04/2004.

That this House notes the acceptance of liability by Jarvis Plc and Network Rail for the Potters Bar rail crash and that this acceptance has come two years after the crash; believes that the circumstances of this tragedy necessitate a public inquiry, that only such an inquiry can fully protect the interests of the travelling public and that the case for such an inquiry is stronger than ever; and therefore calls upon the Secretary of State to institute a public inquiry without further delay.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
