Eu Constitutional Treaty

EDM number 1079 in 2003-04, proposed by Chris Bryant on 28/04/2004.

That this House looks forward to an European Union constitutional treaty being signed that, by replacing the old mish-mash of European Union treaties, makes the European Union more efficient, open, democratic and accountable to national parliaments and that protects Britain's veto on taxation, security and foreign policy; believes Britain is strongest when it plays a central rather than peripheral role in the European Union; and eagerly anticipates debunking the many myths about Europe pumped out by the obsessive Euro sceptics.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
