Humanitarian Aid In Iraq

EDM number 959 in 2002-03, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 26/03/2003.

That this House notes the immediate need to ensure that supplies of humanitarian aid are channelled into Iraq in order to support the Iraqi population; recognises the importance of providing food, shelter and medical aid as soon as possible in order to prevent a major humanitarian crisis; and calls on the US and UK Governments to work closely with the United Nations, European Union and non-governmental organisations in providing a programme of reform in Iraq which will support the humanitarian needs of the civilian population.

This motion has been signed by a total of 60 MPs.
