Earnings Disregard For War Disablement Pensioners

That this House notes that war-disabled pensioners in receipt of income support are entitled to an earnings disregard of only ú10 per week and this earning disregard was last updated in 1990; further notes that income support allowances have generally been increased, in line with the Rossi index, by 42.8 per cent. since 1990; and, therefore, calls on the Government to introduce an equivalent increase in earnings disregard for war disablement pensioners in the forthcoming budget.
