Retirement Of Malcolm Richards, Editor Of The Richmond And Twickenham Times
EDM number 917 in 2002-03, proposed by Keith Vaz on 19/03/2003.
That this House congratulates Malcolm Richards on being the longest serving newspaper editor in London; notes that he has been the Group Editor of the Richmond and Twickenham Times series since October 1976, and that on his retirement in April he will have completed 27 years of service; recognises that he has, over a quarter of a century, given young journalists hundreds of opportunities to work on his newspapers and that many of these journalists have gone on to excel in both print and broadcast news; and sends its best wishes to him for a happy retirement.
