Closure Of The Crown Post Office In Blyth Valley

EDM number 907 in 2002-03, proposed by Ronnie Campbell on 18/03/2003.

That this House is outraged that the Post Office is proposing to close the last remaining Crown Post Office in Blyth, Northumberland which serves 1,000 customers a day and makes a profit; supports the peoples 7,000 petition signed to date; believes that the proposed relocation is not a viable one as it does not cater for disabled customers or children in buggies as the store's aisles are too narrow and parking facilities are totally inadequate; and asks that the Post Office reconsider the closure.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
