Post Office

That this House notes with great concern the closure of the Waterloo Road Post Office branch, North Lambeth; further notes that this closure is to proceed despite massive opposition from across the locality, including large businesses, community groups and tenants associations; further notes that a high number of local residents, many of whom are elderly, disabled or have small children will be extremely inconvenienced by this closure; and calls on the Post Office to reconsider the future of Waterloo Road Post Office and so end the impression that its consultation process is a sham and a formality which must be adhered to before proceeding exactly as they wish.
