Creation Of A Fund For Ulster Defence Regiment Widows

EDM number 899 in 2002-03, proposed by Iris Robinson on 17/03/2003.

That this House calls upon the Government to recognise the bravery and professionalism of those men and women who served in the Ulster Defence Regiment in Northern Ireland; remembers with great respect and honour those UDR soldiers who were callously murdered by evil terrorists and the plight of the grieving families left behind to mourn; and consequently calls upon the Government to set up a new fund for UDR widows similar to that already in operation for families of murdered police officers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
