Assassination Of The Serbian Prime Minister, Zoran Djindjic

EDM number 876 in 2002-03, proposed by Tony Lloyd on 12/03/2003.

That this House is appalled at the assassination of the Serbian Prime Minister, Zoran Djindjic; recognises that he pursued his political ambitions for his country with great bravery both in opposition under the Milosevic regime and more recently as Prime Minister; notes that he was one of the Serbian politicians who tried consistently to move Serbia on a path towards Europe and to take its place amongst the European family of nations; and sends its condolences to his wife and family and to his fellow countrymen and women.

This motion has been signed by a total of 56 MPs.
