Uda Ceasefire
EDM number 794 in 2002-03, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 27/02/2003.
That this House notes the announcement by the UDA regarding a 12 month period of violent inactivity; registers its principled position that all terrorist organisations should cease immediately from all violent activity and will judge each such terrorist organisation on its efforts rather than its words; and acknowledging that the IRA have made many such statements and been commended for them despite their violent actions, is concerned at those democratic political leaders who have appeared to operate double standards by commending the IRA while being critical of the UDA.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
