Humanitarian Aid And Military Threats To Iraq
EDM number 777 in 2002-03, proposed by Llew Smith on 25/02/2003.
That this House contrasts the contingency reserve of ú100 million which the Secretary of State for International Development has said is available for humanitarian emergencies and 'safe havens' in Iraq (24th February, Official Report, column 4), and which has to come out of existing budgets, with the ú1,750 million of extra taxpayers' money made available by the Chancellor to fight a war against Iraq; and concludes this Government's priorities are obscene.
This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
