Anglia Railways Fourth Charter Mark
EDM number 774 in 2002-03, proposed by Bob Russell on 25/02/2003.
That this House congratulates Anglia Railways on being awarded a fourth charter mark for excellence in customer service; notes that Anglia was the first railway company to receive the award, in 1993; further notes that only two other train companies have been awarded a charter mark, although not as many as Anglia; acknowledges the value of charter marks which are awarded under the Government scheme which recognises organisations who achieve high standards in the provision of public services; and urges all railway companies to follow Anglia's excellent example by likewise seeking to obtain charter marks in the interests of both passengers and employees.
