That this House urges the Lord Chancellor's Department Committee to link any pay rise for the holder of the Office of Lord Chancellor with modernisation principles involving hours of work, the acquisition of new skills, housing provision and issues concerning tertiary employment; and believes that further consideration be given to the question of the existence of such an office.
