Secrecy Of International Cricket Council
EDM number 718 in 2002-03, proposed by Derek Wyatt on 12/02/2003.
That this House notes that the International Cricket Council's solicitor, Karyl Nairn, of Simmons Simmons, has now denied, on three separate occasions over the past week, access to their Articles of Association to Jonathan Haydn-Williams, solicitor, of Taylor Wessing; regrets the International Cricket Council's intransigence and lack of transparency on this issue; is concerned that they are not acting in good faith; further notes the arrogance of their solicitor in denying this material to the honourable Member for Sittingbourne and Sheppey; and calls for the International Cricket Council Board to accept its legal responsibility under English law and release the said documents immediately.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
