Special Constabulary

That this House congratulates the dedicated men and women who volunteer to serve as special constables; recognises that their professionalism provides an extremely valuable resource to their regular colleagues through the enormous contribution which they make to their local communities; welcomes the staging of National Specials Weekend on 21st to 23rd February; and urges all honorable and Right honourable Members to support the Special Constabulary by encouraging more people to join.
